While returning from a weekend singing in Indiana, I received a text message from the pastor of Sunny Slope Baptist Church in Woodbury, TN, Brother Ray Patrick. He asked if we would be available for New Year`s Eve and I replied that we were not booked but I`d have to check if any of the group had made plans and get back to him. Asking what he had in mind, he said it`s in the planning stages right now but will probably be from 6 to 9pm and of course being a Baptist church there will probably be food. It is also the first anniversary of their new church building! I had seen their new church from the outside before it was completed and pictures on their Facebook page of the inside since moving in and I`m looking forward to getting the grand tour. Some of us had sang at Dillon Street Baptist, their former church, and we`re going to see how God has blessed this congregation with this new facility! If you have no plans and would like to be with, and fellowship with, God`s people, make plans to join us on this NYE service. Come out, enjoy some good `ol gospel music, fellowship, and maybe break bread with Pastor Ray and his church. What better way to end the year?
