Southern Gospel Singers United started as a desire in the hearts of two groups to be better ministers of the gospel, and they knew there were others who had that same desire and who were not content to just show up and sing. In an effort to meet their objectives, they came together to discuss what God had put upon their hearts - to develop their ministries to better tell people about the saving grace of Jesus, to more effectively present the gospel through their music, and to pool their resources to accomplish what God had called them to do. Thus, Southern Gospel Singers United became a reality.
Southern Gospel Singers United is a diverse, talented group of individuals who have not come together by accident, but by divine appointment. All are directed in God`s Holy Word to fulfill the Great Commission. All of the members of this organization view their ministries as a responsibility, and more importantly, as an honor the King of Kings has chosen them to uphold. SGSU will strive to honor and uplift the name of Jesus Christ in everything it does.
