Jason Runnels began a full time position in gospel music in 1998 when he joined Tony Gore and Majesty to sing tenor. Jason sang with Tony for just over 4 years when Tony disbanded the group for a solo career. While Jason was there, he had the opportunity to travel to Ireland, Scottland, London England, and many other places singing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has sung on every major event for every major promoter in gospel music. Jason was named one of the top 5 young artist in Southern Gospel Music by concert goers and readers of the Singing News Magazine in 2000 and was also a part of the #1 song Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord by Tony Gore and Majesty. After Tony began his solo career, Jason met with owner and Lead Singer for the Down East Boys Quartet, Ricky Carden and became the new tenor singer for the group. Jason traveled with the group for 10 years before leaving the group in 2010. After 15 years of traveling over 200 days a year, he decided it was time to be home with his family. After leaving the road he became a manager for Chick-fil-A resturant in Burlington, NC and worked there until he moved back home to Mississippi in May of 2012. He now works for Chick-fil-A in Flowood, MS. Jason travels 2 weekends a month to sing in churches and events all across the Southeast. Jason lives in Florence, MS with his beautiful wife Theresa and their 3 sons Trisdon, Hunter, and Braden. Jason just completed his very first solo project entitled I`m Amazed and is excited to be back singing again a few time a month.
