Joyce Johnson has kept Southern Gospel Music alive in this area for many years. She and her late husband Louis traveled and sang over the past 20 years, as well as operating a Christian Bookstore for the past 30 years. She has been a sponsor of Sunday Morning Gospel Radio for 20 years, presently at Big Country 99.5 FM from Tulsa. Joyce has been traveling with a band for the past year. They have already ministered in over 100 concerts. They can also be seen on Lesea Broadcasting, KWHB-TV 47. The Lord is using the ministry to bring a salvation message as well as encouragement to many. Joyce sings the old loved songs as well as writes her own music and lyrics. The band consists of John Buffington as lead steel guitar, John Buffington III on rhythm guitar, Don Sellers on drums, Don Cooper on bass and Bo Carter on electric guitar.
