Logan Smith is a 17 year old teen with a lot of miles behind him. When Logan was born, he was diagnosed with asthma. His parents would wake up in the middle of the night to find him gasping for breath, and his lips turning blue. He was on a breathing machine 3 times a day. The only hope that was left was to go in and scrape his lungs as a last resort. One week his dad was asked to preach at a week-end revival. That weekend, Logan was healed from asthma.
He started at a very young age watching the Gaither Homecoming Videos and that`s where the story begins! The person that stood out in his life was the one and only, Vestal Goodman. At the age of three he would stand in his room with a pencil as a microphone and one of his dad`s handkerchiefs singing his heart out to one of the Happy Goodman`s songs, such as "I Wouldn`t Take Nothing For My Journey Now!"
At the age of 7 Logan was asked to sing at a senior`s dinner at his grandparent`s church. Logan refused at first, and finally got the courage to do it. That night he took the stage, and brought the house down with some Goodman favorites. That is when he finally came out of his shell. He started getting booked for churches and other venues, and it hasn`t slowed down since.
Since that night, Logan has accomplished what it seems like it takes others a lifetime to accomplish. Logan recorded his fist CD, "The Journey Begins", at the age of 10. His second CD, "Just Any Day Now", was released at the age of 11, "Satisfied" his third CD at the age of 12 with Jeff & Sheri Easter doing background vocals and now, his latest release "Child of the King" at the age of 15.
Thanks to Jeff & Sheri Easter it does not stop there. On October the 31st, 2008, Logan was invited to sing with The Gaither Homecoming Tour in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for Gaither Fest. Once again he blew the crowd away! Since that night, he has sung at many different venues with the Homecoming Tour. Logan was also invited to appear on the Gaither Homecoming Thanksgiving taping of "Count Your Blessings" that was released September 2010. The Alaskan Cruise video "Majesty" where he will also appeared on was released January 2011.
Logan Attended the National Quartet Convention in September of 2008 which went over very well. Logan then was invited to sing on the main stage at the 2009 Convention and returned for 2010 and once again took the main stage! And the story goes on and on!
God Bless
