My name is Edith Ellis Lykins I am a Gospel singer, song writer, and guitarist from the Appalachian Mountains of Southeastern Kentucky. I have minister in song for over 30 years and my ministries name is "Words of Encouragement."
For the past two years God has put me back on the road traveling and singing for the Lord. I sing in different venues such as restaurants, festivals, family reunions, youth rally`s, gospel singing rally`s, concerts, in stores and many other places. I have also produced a new CD called "50 Years Later" and re-released a CD of an older Cassette made back in the 80`s called, "Songs of Encouragement." I am in the process of working on my third CD hopefully to be out in the fall or winter of 2013.
I am a member of the Green Meadow Gospel Music Association, KYOVA, ACMA, Kentucky Gospel Music Association, and the Tennessee/Georgia Country & Gospel Music Association.
My hearts desire is to serve the Lord in any way that I can and to see lost souls come to the Lord.
